Good morning Year 3!
It’s the start of a new month and the beginning of an extremely exciting week to celebrate World Book Day 2021!

Our Year 3 web page has been up dated with another week of great learning, with lots of exciting tasks and events for our celebration.
As mentioned in our Zoom last Friday, Thursday is World Book Day and we shall be having a very special Zoom, where you can dress up as a character from a book or join in your pyjamas!

Scholastic is also hosting a week of free events next week to celebrate World Book Day. Children and families can enjoy an array of wonderful authors and illustrators hosting 30 minute events, including draw-a-longs, writing workshops and a 4pm book club.
Head over to to register for any of the events. Click on register now, choose your event and enter the password: clubsandfairs
Press return and provide your email address to join the event when it goes live.

Of particular interest for Year 3 children are ‘Doodle along with Tom Gates-style with Liz Pichon’ on Monday 1st March at 10am and ‘Write like a Wizard with Kimberly Pauley’ on Tuesday 2nd March at 11am.

Don’t forget about our fabulous Acklam Whin Reading challenges! We would love to see as many of our fantastic Year 3s taking part as possible. You could design an alternative cover, read a story or create their own book review; we would also love to see some photos of you reading in unusual, weird and wonderful places. You could even win a prize!

Who is looking forward to this week’s ‘Wellbeing Wednesday’? Create a potato character! Decorate a potato as a character from a story of your choice- then bring them along to Friday’s Zoom!

Keep sending in your fantastic work!
Have fun!
