Good morning Year 6.

Well, here we are, the first day of March – can you believe it! It doesn’t seem like 5 minutes ago since we were welcoming the start of February.

It’s our final week at home before all being back together again – where we belong. We have got a really exciting week of remote learning planned for you.

As we mentioned last week, it is World Book Day on Thursday.  Are you going to get dressed up as your favourite book character? Or what about wearing your pyjamas all day?
Check out Mr Gamble’s app notification explaining all about our Book Week challenge where you can win a fantastic book. You will need to email your teacher or send in your entry to be judged.  We can’t wait to see what you submit.
On Tuesday, we have a very exciting writing workshop booked with author Kimberly Pauley: keep your eyes peeled for the notification with the zoom details on it.
We have arranged for a Live Story event, on Friday at 10:30am, where a live story will be shared with you.
There are so many exciting things to look forward to.

For maths this week, we are going to be continuing with fractions work.  We have arranged another ‘Go Live’ Sats Companion lesson with Mrs F-J on Friday at 9:30am, based on comparing and ordering fractions.  The access code is 1661.  Zoom details will be sent to you on Thursday.

For our Wellbeing Wednesday task this week, we are challenging you to create a nature collage.  Have a look at the plan for more details.

Have a fantastic week’s learning, Year 6.  We are counting down the days until you return.

Stay safe.

The Year 6 Team xx
