Good morning Year 6 and welcome back to the second half of our Spring Term.
We hope you have had a well-deserved week away from remote learning and are refreshed and ready for a new week.

Our English this week focuses on revision of grammar that we have covered previously.
Reading will include using our VIPERS to answer comprehension questions, the next chapter on Purple Mash, and more lessons on First News iHub.
For maths, we are starting to look at fractions. We are revisiting areas of fractions previously taught in Year 4 and 5 to help to consolidate our understanding of what a fraction is.

Look out for our new ‘Wellbeing-Wednesday’ activity on our weekly plan  We are doing this to take you away from the screen and give you the chance to do something practical and fun.  This week, we are going to be painting/drawing on a rock/pebble, and then placing this outside for someone else to discover.  You will need to find a rock before Wednesday’s lesson.  You might have one in your garden or you could go on a walk with an adult from your house to have a look for one outside. We can’t wait to see your designs.

Have a great week and keep on working hard.  Hopefully it won’t be too long before we are all back together where we belong.

Take care.

The Year 6 Team xx
