Acklam Whin Parents and Friends Association Needs You! AWPFA is a group of parents, teachers and friends of Acklam Whin Primary School who organise events to raise funds to spend on fun activities and keepsakes for the children. We meet up usually once every term to discuss ideas, plan events and decide how best to spend the funds raised so that all the children across the year groups benefit. Fund raising activities in the past have included school discos, raffles and the annual toy fair, and the funds raised have been spent on a whole range of things from book bags for all children starting in reception to autograph books for year 6 children when they leave. Science workshops and exotic animal encounters have also proved a real hit with the children over the last few years. Anyone who shops online can help raise funds for AWPFA with easyfundraising.org.uk. Every time you spend money with participating retailers they will make a small donation on your behalf. It doesn’t cost you any money! Over the last school year we have raised over £150 with just 9 members. Help us raise more by registering as a member, click here to find out more.
