Pupil Premium Checker

Did you know the government gives additional funding to schools for those children entitled to pupil premium?

One of the main ways the government funds schools is through “Pupil Premium”. If you qualify the school could get an additional £1900 every year to improve the education of your child.

From 1 April 2018 the Department for Education have made changes to the Universal Credit Thresholds, any pupil eligible for Free school meals before this date will be protected until Summer 2023.

You must apply for the school to get this funding. Answer these questions to find out if you may qualify. 

Do you or your partner work for the UK armed forces?


Have any of your children received means tested free school meals in the last 6 years?


Answer No if your child gets universal free school meals (available to all children in Reception, Year1 or Year 2) and would not qualify for means tested meals.
